The Air Jordan 12 Retro Nubucks UNC Black University Blue Shoes were releasd on May 15, 2004, and retailed for $135. A womens version was released in the sae colorway, but many people dont know that there are two distinct models, one for each gender. These feature a white leather upper, alongside blue accents, which can be seen on the tongue, inner lining, and outsole. The outsole features a modified herringbone pattern which provides great traction. The shoes designed is modeled after the Nisshoki which is the Japanese rising sun flag, as well as a 19th century women's dress boot. It features stitched leather which radiates outward like sun rays, and this theme extends all the way to the arch of the shoe. The rands on the side panels feature a lizard skin print, ala the Air Jordan 2 (II).
